The paper by researchers at PCHSS's Observatory on Health System Sustainability is the first to present a case study of a learning health system within an Australian primary care setting, and also uses a unique embedded researcher model.

About the NHRMC Partnership Centre for Health System Sustainability

The NHMRC Partnership Centre for Health System Sustainability (PCHSS), which was funded from July 2017 to June 2023, was hosted by the Australian Institute of Health Innovation at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. A collaborative research network of 17 lead investigators, 20 expert advisors, and over 40 system implementation partners from across the country, the PCHSS was committed to generating and disseminating research to improve the performance of the health system so that it delivers care efficiently and effectively over the long term.
